Cool on Camera” to Cuffed: Spalding County Deputy Phillip Ramsammy

In my video, he’s the cool deputy on a simple stop. Now he’s sitting in jail on family‑violence and child‑cruelty charges.

Sometimes the wildest plot twist is when the cop you thought was solid ends up in the headlines.

On my channel, we ran a video called “Spalding Deputy Ramsammy BEFORE Arrest: Man Risked It All… For A Sprite” where Deputy Phillip Ramsammy pulls up on a dude making a bad decision over a soda. In that body cam, Ramsammy comes off cool, calm, and down to earth—no extra barking, no power trip, just handling business.

Fast‑forward to 2026, and that same deputy is now on the other side of the booking desk.

According to the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office and Atlanta‑area news outlets, Ramsammy was arrested after a family‑violence investigation at his home. He’s facing some heavy charges:

  • Aggravated assault under the Georgia Family Violence Act

  • Second‑degree cruelty to children

  • Violation of oath of office

Officials say the sheriff’s office got a report of family violence, opened an internal and criminal investigation, and then arrested Ramsammy the next day. He’s currently being held without bond while the case moves through court, and investigators have hinted more charges could be added.

What makes this one hit different is the contrast. On my video, you see the “good interaction” version of Ramsammy—a deputy people in the comments said was one of the better cops they’d met in Spalding County. On paper right now, prosecutors are painting a very different picture of what was allegedly happening inside his own home.

If you want to see what he looked like before all this went down, here’s the body‑cam we already dropped:

Same deputy. Same badge.
The question now is what the court’s going to do with the version of him you don’t see on camera.
